There are certain points that you should always address when putting your appeal together. In order to help you, we have created 2 template letters that you can use. If you follow through each point in order on the appropriate template, then you will know that you have included all necessary information.
One of the templates is for, if you are appealing on the grounds of Extenuating Circumstances and the other is for, if you are appealing on the other ground (the ‘Defects’), so make sure you are using the correct one before you start. These can both be found under the resource centre section.
Once you have put together your appeal, check everything through carefully before you send it off. One of the Student Advisers in the Union Support Service would be happy to go over everything with you before it is sent so feel free to call and make an appointment to come in. We will be able to make suggestions and comments on whether it needs improving; if you have missed anything out or if you need more or different evidence.
How to access the advice service You should contact the Union Support Service (USS) filling in this form or by telephone (020 7040 5600) to make an appointment to see a Student Adviser. Appointments last for thirty minutes with further meetings as required and agreed with the Adviser.
