Brand new Student Media!
We have come along way since students at City University established an independent student press. Last year the Union introduced a brand new, more politically motivated newspaper; City Offline.
2009/10 sees a landmark moment for Student Media at City University London, as the student newspaper, website, radio and our online video directory all join forces to create CITY Media; a platform for students, by students, enhancing the student experience. This structure aims to enable student contributors with the opportunity to produce news and media that can be broadcasted across a range of different platforms. As well as increasing a student’s employability; City Media allows its contributors to establish and develop a wide and varied skills base.
Your City Online - City University London Students' Unions' Official Website Hosted by Bam Student Media, the City Online website is a Students best way to stay up to date with what is happening in your Students' Union. With games, a photo gallery, mews updates and calendar. Using the students' Union website is the best way to stay in the loop and engage in Union politics and activities, even if your not always on the main campus!
City Offline - Your Main Union Newspaper With all of the union's media, our aim is to provide a platform for students to provide a free press to their membership, which is by students, for students, enhancing the student experience. The newspaper City Offline contain news, reviews, features, fashion & beauty, as well as having a clubs and societies directory and schools forum which publices and addresses issues within that remit. Although City Offline is the name of the regular newspaper, there are also many other publications released such as City's Got Talent, Shag Mag and many more.
City's Got Talent - YouTube Videos An online collection of student videos. This video gallery contains videos made by students as well as recorded material from some of the Unions large events, such as RAG Fashion Show and The DiverCity showcase. Its also hosts a series of different videos displaying talents from different students.
Achievement and Acknowledgement We love the opportunity to acknoiwledge and reward the achievements of our students and for the unions media team there is no exception. At the end of each year the union will host a reward ceremony for all the outstadning achievements. Individually and team based work will be recognised at the Student Media Awards Ceremony.
