S.H.A.G week
SHAG week!
Sex is no laughing matter. While many of us may engage in sexual relations during out time at University, it is important that we do this safely and by that we don’t mean locking your room beforehand!
S.H.A.G. week (Sexual Health Awareness and Guidance) is dedicated to educating you how to have safe sex, the risks and diseases out there and how you can avoid them.
This year s.h.a.g week took place from 5th Oct to 9th October and we had a range of events from information stalls to movie nights and quiz nights, Visit our gallery and see the pictures!

Remember: you can get free condoms all year round in the student Health Centre (located on Sebastian St) see map (http://www.city.ac.uk/maps/buildings/sebastian.html)
The Student Health Centre also able to signpost you to places where you will be able to get support regarding sexual health issues.
Non Smoking Day
We realise that life can be tough and sometimes we resort to things that make us feel less stressed. But Smoking is the UK's number one cause of avoidable premature death, linked to a range of serious and often fatal conditions. National Non smoking day takes place on Wed 10th March and we will be running a campaign to help you stop smoking! More information will be posted nearer the time but for guidance on how to quit. You can visit the Student Health Centre all year round.
