► Student Elections

The Students' Union is a democratic body, run by students for students.  Every year elections are held to allow students at City to decide who they want to run the Union.  All students at City are allowed to vote or stand as a candidate.

There are two elections every year.    

 

Spring Term Elections

 In the Spring, the following full time positions are elected 

  • President

  • Vice President Education and Membership Engagement

  • Vice President Communications and Publications

 At the same time, the following part time roles are elected:

 

  • NUS Delegates

Autumn Term Elections

In the Autumn, additional officers are elected to join the Sabbaticals on the Executive Committee, and 21 students are voted into the Union Council.

  • School Representation Officers (SROs)

These officers sit on Executive Committee and on the University Student Affairs Committee.

One is elected to represent each School.

  • Union Council Members

Three are elected from each School.  One from each School must be a postgraduate student.
