► What is a Students' Union
What is a students’ union?
The Students Union exists to enhance the students experience here. At City we do this by gathering feedback from you, running campaigns on issues that you feel strongly about, offering advice and support and of course putting on the odd bar or club night. You can also buy your NUS Extra card directly from us by popping into our office.
You can get involved by becoming a student representative or simply by joining any one of our many clubs or societies. Or you can just let us know what you think by giving us your feedback or suggestions.
Main areas of responsibility are
• To represent all students both internally and externally of the University
• Support the running of Clubs and Societies
• Provide entertainments and social events
• Enhance the student experience
