Vice President of Student Activities and Development
Is focused on ensuring that Union's various non academic committees and project teams have the resources they require.
Their duties include:
Activities
-
To ensure all student activities have appropriate resources.

To promote the development of all student activities, committees and groups and be the lead officer for the day-to-day liaison with Union staff on student activities matters.

To champion all sport related matters such as access to sports, participation and provision of sport, leading the development of performance sports, seeking to improve sporting facilities and provisions, support Union sports clubs, and improve non-performance sport.

To be responsible for sourcing research, feedback and opinions on all student activities.
Development:
-
To be the lead officer on all Students’ Union student volunteer training.

To appoint and oversee the management team to deliver an independent student press.

To be responsible for reward and recognition of all Union volunteers.

To support the Student Representation Officers (SROs) in addressing non- academic issues at appropriate levels.

To be responsible for the production of reports on non-academic issues for committees such as Student Affairs Committee, Student Activities Council and the CULSA Committee.

Liaise regularly with University staff at all levels, other Union Officers at City and nationally, NUS Officers and students.

To consult with students both formally and informally on their experience of and aspirations for student activities of all kind, so as to inform future strategy.

To participate in Union Committees such as Executive Committee and Union Council and Sub Committees as required
