► Trustee Board

The Unions Trustee Board has overall responsibility for the general control and management of the administration of the Students’ Union. The Trustee Board ensure that the Unions finances, health and safety and other administrative requirements are conducted properly. It is often a surprise to students to discover the Union is a charity which is independent from the University. The trustees must ensure that the Union abides by the law relating to charities.

The role of a trustee is very different to the role of a member of the Students Union Executive Committee. The Executive Committee is responsible for the Unions political leadership while the trustees are responsible for its sound administration.

Who are the Unions trustees?

All Union trustees are volunteers. However typically the President and Vice Presidents (paid roles) also serve as trustees of the Union during their period in office.

In addition to the three elected trustees we have four other volunteer trustees. These trustees were selected because of their knowledge of City University London, its students and their wealth of experience.

In addition to the elected officers at City University London Students Union we have:

Mark Robson
Anthony Worrall
Gaurav Khalia
Dr Malcolm Cross
